This tool allows stepping through a series of files using a movie file name template. It is normally loaded from the Movie List tool. The file name template can be manually changed to whatever desired. So can the numerical ranges. A valid movie series is a set of files with a number as part of the name. The "file name template" text box should contain the name with pound signs (#'s) where the digits in the number would normally be. If the numeric field is of fixed width, the number of # signs must equal this width, otherwise use a single # sigh for variable width. The numerical range is then entered in the 2 range boxes, htting return after each one to make it actually update. Once this is done, the slider labeled "image # selection" can be used to select any image in the series. Moving the slider will cause the header (if any) to be displayed in the file inspector. To display a given file, hit the red "display selection" button. There are also buttons for stepping up and down the series and the increment of the step can be changed from 1 to a larger value. This is useful for quickly scanning through a data series.
