Donna Kelley

Donna Kelley is co-anchor, along with Leon Harris, of CNN MORNING NEWS. The program offers viewers two and a half hours of news, sports, weather, movie and book reviews as well as interviews with news makers and trend setters with viewer calls. Kelley has been based in Atlanta since joining the network in 1985. She is also the host of FUTURE WATCH which looks at the future of the planet and its people.

A 23-year broadcast news veteran, Kelley is the recipient of various awards for her work, including the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award for excellence in journalism. In 1995 she won a CableAce award with Leon Harris. In addition, she was nominated for a CableAce award for best newscaster in 1994. Kelley earned the Sigma Delta Chi Award for feature reporting at Spokane, WA station KXLY-TV where she worked as anchor, reporter and producer from 1982 to 1985.

During 1981, Kelley was an announcer at KBMN radio in Bozeman, MT, and also served as anchor and performed a short stint as fill-in bureau chief for the Intermountain Radio Network, a 90-station network serving the Rocky Mountain region. Kelley served as News Director at NBC affiliate KTVG-TV in Helena, MT, where she also produced and co-anchored the 5:30 and 10 p.m. newscasts. She also worked as a reporter, photographer, tape editor and did the weather.

She began her career in radio and television stations around the northwest, including KIXI-Radio in Seattle, and KID-Radio in Idaho Falls. She attended Montana State University in her hometown, Bozeman.
